Check it out!

Our ward has a new blog where you can view our monthly newsletter: http://Fallbrook2ndWard.blogspot.com/

From the Bishopric

January and February showers have brought March flowers. We have recently been blessed by abundant rains, which have drenched us but not caused much flooding. The earth has soaked up the moisture and the spring blossoms are upon us. It has been a delight to see many of the partially burned trees, come back to life. I hope you have had the chance to enjoy the beauty of the community that surrounds us, in its springtime glory.

Using spring as an analogy, on March 23 we have the chance to celebrate the renewal that Easter brings through the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Thanks to our elder brother’s sacrifice, all our troubles and sins can be washed away. What a joy it is to be refreshed and start anew. My thoughts echo the words of Isaiah as he wrote of the atonement, “Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing.” If we learn to live well, we can look forward to bounteous and everlasting reward.

In addition to Easter, March promises to be another great month, bringing the Priests and Laurels a fun Multi-Stake Conference, the Relief Society a birthday celebration, and the young women a recognition dinner and General Meeting. We have two Fast Sundays in March as we prepare for General Conference in April.

Smile and enjoy the figurative and literal fragrance of springtime and the benevolence of a loving Heavenly Father.

Please be sure to get your updated email address to Bro. Craig Garrett ASAP so that we can email you updates and our ward newsletter! cgarrett58@aol.com

Primary

For the month of March our theme is Jesus Christ is my Savior. We'll talk about the atonement and the resurrection and what that means to each of us.

Congratulations to Alazay Elzinga on her recent baptism. She is a really special young lady and we hope you can all get a chance to get to know her.
Welcome to Christian Towers who moved here with his family from Rhode Island. His Dad is serving in the military. He's a wonderful addition to our Sunbeam class.

The Cub Scout Blue and Gold Dinner is March 14, at 6:30 PM; it’s a potluck!

We love your children and feel it a privilege to work with them and learn from them.

Love,

The Primary

Family History

The New Family Search is a wonderful tool to help us do our ancestor's temple work. It is also the means for putting together the Book of Rememberance for the Lord (D&C 128: 24). This will be a powerful tool, if everyone participates. Our Stake President has asked that we all prepare a name of one of our ancestors to take to the temple for our Stake conference temple session in November. Lessons for registering and using the New Family Search will be given by the High Priest's Group starting Feb 3rd and going for 6 months. Everyone in the ward will be "called" to attend the classes. Each course covers 4 weeks. If you want to register and use New Family Search before your lesson course, you may do so. You will need your membership record number and confirmation date. Call Sister Renshaw if you have questions at 728 3989.
